This is part 1 of the video series of the Story of Anne’s Life. As I mentioned in my previous post, I’ve been feeling guilty about not updating my story more regularly, and then I had the idea “What if I recorded brief video on a regular basis and posted it, starting at the beginning of the story of my life, and working my way through to the end?”
So that’s what I’m going to try. I will be posting short videos (this one is under two minutes) detailing how my life has unfolded and evolved.
As I also mentioned, this first video is very rough, and is really a proof of concept. But I pledge to you that if there is enough interest, they will become more polished as time goes on. (So please let me know what you think of the concept.)
P.S. My face isn’t really that shiny, the lighting will be better, etc. etc.. Again, this is the trial balloon, so please tell me what you think!
Geez! I’m sorry about this horrid childhood, Anne.
But ya know, maybe it helped make you strong, brave, capable, self-reliant, able, etc. All the stuff that we love about you, and of course, did not have to suffer through…. So from the viewpoint of sheer self-interest and greed, (disclaimer!) and since I and all your other friends and fans, love the Anne we have….
Maybe… Maybe it was for the best. Hang in there. I’ll give you the corny send off, and you might smile: Live Long and Prosper.
Here is a little about me:
I was born in Jan 1956, I weighed 3-lbs 3-oz, and was 3-mos and 3-weeks a preemie. Tech was not like today back then. I nearly died 12 times before I was a year old. I wear coke bottle glasses today, and have mild hearing problems, and am very high strung. I have depression, with a touch of mania that comes with that. I often wish I had not made it, but a number of people whom I have manged to help in small ways on life, all say they were glad I did. I have no idea what my purpose in life is, as I am good at absolutely nothing, but am a sort of Jack of all Trades, but clearly a master of none!
Yet, perhaps there is a reason for all off us…. Look at all the people you have helped in the world. Look at how well you are doing with your kids. So, perhaps those tough times, helped make you the ace that you are. Hang in there.
Pete, thank you for sharing that! I, for one, am very glad that you are here!
I’m sure you have helped many people through out your life. I was born in 1954 , so i know about primitive medical procedures. You were very luckly to have suvived. There had to be a reason for that. It could be something that has already happened or will happen, and you may not even be aware of it.Take the good with the bad , was a quote written by someone who has never had the bad ! Walk a mile in my shoes and you will take them off and never wear them again! Shit , I wouldn’t wear them except for the fact I’m being forced to.
I guess Bruce, that You, Anne, and I are “small helper people” placed in the world. There are big ones, and small ones. But we make up for the takers.
